The story

Oblivians were set to play at Slaktkyrkan in 2018. Johan had probably asked Thomas Savage if he could bring some records and DJ for a while.
Thomas had probably already asked if Jenny, known from a bunch of cool bands and the club Beat, could bring a box of records.
Anyway, for a while, Jenny and Johan played every other song; Huey "Piano" Smith and similar genius stuff.
More than one person agreed that the atmosphere rocketed, and several people suggested: You should play more!
The name was borrowed from Lee Rogers' hit on D-Town 1041, and rules were established; it would be exclusively R&B and soul on old records spinning at 45 RPM.
The first night took place in the basement of Snotty Seaside. Unfortunately, a global pandemic intervened, but then it continued somewhat regularly, and Cream of the Crop has now become a state that many want to be in!

Oblivians skulle spela pÄ Slaktkyrkan 2018. Förmodligen hade Johan frÄgat Thomas Savage om han kunde fÄ ta med lite skivor och DJ:a en stund.
Thomas hade sannolikt redan frÄgat om Jenny, kÀnd frÄn en massa coola band och klubben Beat, kunde ta med en lÄda.
Det blev hur som helst en svÀng dÄ Jenny och Johan spelade varannan lÄt, det blev Huey "Piano" Smith och liknande geniala grejer.
Mer Àn en person höll med om att stÀmningen skjöt i höjden och flera kom med uppmaningen: Ni borde spela mer!
Namnet snoddes frÄn Lee Rogers stÀnkare pÄ D-Town 1041 och regler togs fram; det skulle vara uteslutande R&B och soul pÄ gamla skivor som snurrar i 45 RPM.
En första kvÀll kom pÄ plats i Snotty Seaside's kÀllare. TyvÀrr hamnade en global pandemi i mellan men sen rullade det pÄ nÄgorlunda regelbundet och Cream of the Crop har nu blivit ett tillstÄnd som mÄnga vill vara i!
